For me, the purpose of decor is not necessarily to know what you are looking at, but for what you are looking at to provide a positive emotional extraction. If someone want's to know what the logos are they can easily ask. The text detracts from the logos' abilities to provide some type of mood enhancing effect for the viewer. At the end of the day though it is subjective.
